The National Portal will assist the households in their decision-making process by providing relevant information such as appropriate system sizes, benefits calculator, vendor rating etc.<\/li><li>Households will be able to access collateral-free low-interest loan products of around 7% at present for installation of residential RTS systems up to 3 kW.<\/li><\/ol><h3>Steps involved to avail solar panel subsidy in India:<\/h3><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong><b>Step-1<\/b>:<\/strong>\u00a0Visit the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pmsuryaghar.gov.in\/\">official website.<\/a><\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-2:<\/strong>\u00a0Provide the following details for registration.<\/p><ul><li>&#8211; Select your State<\/li><li>&#8211; Select your Electricity Distribution Company<\/li><li>&#8211; Enter your Electricity Consumer Number<\/li><li>&#8211; Enter Mobile Number<\/li><li>&#8211; Enter Email<\/li><li>&#8211; Please follow as per the directions from the portal.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-3:<\/strong>\u00a0Login with your Consumer Number &amp; Mobile Number.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-4:<\/strong>\u00a0Apply for the Rooftop Solar as per the form.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-5:<\/strong>\u00a0Fill out the online application form.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-6:<\/strong>\u00a0Wait for the feasibility approval from DISCOM. Once you get the feasibility approval install the plant by any of the registered vendors in your DISCOM.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-7:<\/strong>\u00a0Once installation is over, submit the plant details and apply for a net meter.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-8:<\/strong>\u00a0After installation of net meter and inspection by DISCOM, they will generate a commissioning certificate from the portal.<\/p><p class=\"text-justify\"><strong>Step-9:\u00a0<\/strong>Once you get the commissioning report. Submit the bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.<\/p><h3>Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) scheme<\/h3><p class=\"text-justify\">The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (<a href=\"https:\/\/mnre.gov.in\/en\/pradhan-mantri-kisan-urja-suraksha-evam-utthaan-mahabhiyaan-pm-kusum\/\">PM-KUSUM<\/a>) scheme was launched in 2019 and scaled up in January 2024. It aims to provide energy and water security to farmers, increase their income, reduce the farm sector&#8217;s reliance on diesel, and curb environmental pollution. The scheme has set targets under three components:<\/p><ul><li>Component A aims to establish 10,000 MW of decentralized, grid-connected solar power plants.<\/li><li>Component B focuses on installing 20 lakh standalone solar-powered agriculture pumps.<\/li><li>Component C targets the solarization of 15 lakh grid-connected agriculture pumps, including feeder-level solarization.<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"text-justify\">As of June 30, 2024, the PM-KUSUM scheme has benefited 411,222 farmers. The scheme aims to add a solar capacity of 30,800 MW.
